Today, great effort has been made by the enemies of Islâm to distort the true meaning of Islam. They have understood that the greatest threat to their existence is Islâm in its totality. It was the same sentiments expressed by the disbelievers of Makkah Mukarramah, “And those who do not have hope in meeting Us said, “Bring another book or change it.” (Surah Yunus) Different brands of Islâm are being propagated e.g. Ahle-Qurân, Ahlehadith, the Turkish model of Islâm, the Salafî model of Islâm, the Arab understanding of Islâm, the modern understanding of Islâm….

Laws of Islâm are given far-fetched interpretations, those not appealing to the desires are being changed, those commands of Islâm which do not appease Western standards are regarded as outdated, obsolete and redundant. In universities, the Orientalists study Islâm in great depth, their object being to find ‘fault’ in the teachings of Islâm, and to unearth such points which will create doubt in the hearts of the Muslims. They then prepare thesis and books, in which their poison is very discretely and gradually administered. Those who follow true Islâm are regarded as old-fashioned, fundamentalist, those who are not in keeping with the times, are backward, foolish, etc. Just as true Muslims are branded, so too were the Ambiyâ  branded and mocked. This is nothing new. The demand of the time is to hold firm onto Islâmic teachings, understand true Islâm, and not be overawed and taken aback by these new slogans and new paths which are emerging. When Ibrâhîm Alahi Salaam and Nabî Sallalahu Alaihi wa Sallam stood firm in presenting true Islâm, despite all the opposition, Allâh  granted their way of life dominance in the whole world. If a group of Muslims sincerely hold onto Islâm and make effort to bring it  alive in the whole world, then there is nothing far-fetched from Allâh’s mercy to grant the same results. Hadrat Amar bin Auf Radhiyallahu Anhu narrates that Rasûlullâh Sallalahu Alaihi wa Sallam said, “Verily Dîn started off in a strange manner, and it will return to the condition it had commenced. Glad tidings to the strange ones! They are the ones who will correct that which the people have corrupted of my Sunnah.” (Tirmidhî) May Allâh  grant us the ability to hold on to the true path of Islâm till our dying breath and include us in the above group! Âmîn!
