A Few Virtues of Madinah Munawwarah

Rasulullaah SalAllaahu Alaihi Wasallam said,

1.) “…and Madinah is better for them; if they but knew. By Him in whose control my life lies, he who spitefully leaves Madinah, Allaah Jalla Jalaalahoo will replace him with one who is better than him. Behold, Madinah is like a furnace. It expels the dirt. Qiyaamah will not take place until Madinah will expel the evildoers just as a furnace removes the dirt of steel.”
(Muslim no.1381)

2.) “And he who stays steadfast here despite hardships and hunger, I shall bear witness and intercede for him on the Day of Resurrection.”
(Muslim 1377)

3.) “He who harbours an evil intention towards the dwellers of Madinah, Allaah Jalla Jalaalahoo will dissolve him like lead or like salt in water.”
(Muslim no. 1386)

4.) “Madinah is like a furnace, for it expels out impurities (evil people) and selects the good ones and makes them perfect.” (Bukhaari no. 1871, Muslim no. 1382)

5.) “Verily imaan returns to Madinah as a snake returns to its hole.” (Bukhaari no. 1876)

6.) “He who can die in Madinah, let him do so, for I will intercede for those who die in Madinah.” (Tirmidhi no. 3917)

7.) “There are angels guarding the entrances of Madinah, neither plague nor Dajjaal will be able to enter it.” (Bukhaari no. 1880, 7133)
