Kissing The Body Of
Rasulullaah Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam

1.) Abdur-Rahmaan ibn Abi Layla RadhiAllaahu Anhu says that Usayd ibn Hudhayr RadhiAllaahu Anhu was a good man who was always smiling and jovial.
One day as he was busy speaking to some people in the presence of Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam and making them laugh,
Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam poked his side.
“You've hurt me,” he complained.
“Then take your revenge,” replied Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam.
Usayd RadhiAllaahu Anhu remarked, “But you have a garment on while I do not.”
Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam raised his upper garment and Usayd RadhiAllaahu Anhu immediately embraced Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam and started kissing his sides.
He said, “May my parents be sacrificed for you, O Rasulullaah! This is all I wanted to do.”
(Mustadrak of Haakim no. 5262. A similar narration has been reported in Abu Dawood no. 5224, As-Sunan-Kubra of Bayhaqi no.13856 and Al-Mu’jamul-Kabeer of Tabaraani
no. 556)

2.) Habbaan ibn Waasi reports from senior scholars from his tribe that Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam had the shaft of an arrow in his hand during the Battle of Badr as he was straightening the rows of the Sahaabah RadhiAllaahu Anhum.
Sawaad ibn Ghaziyyah RadhiAllaahu Anhu who was an ally of the Banu Adi ibn Najjaar tribe was standing ahead of the row.
As Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam passed by him, Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam nudged the shaft in his belly saying, “Get in line, O Sawaad.”
Sawaad RadhiAllaahu Anhu said, “You have hurt me, O Rasulullaah! Allaah has sent you with the truth and with justice, so allow me to have retribution.”
Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam uncovered his belly and said, “You may have your retribution.”
Sawaad RadhiAllaahu Anhu then embraced and started kissing Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam's belly.
“What makes you do this, O Sawaad?” asked Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam.
"You can see what developments are (that a battle is looming), so I wish that my last meeting with you (if I am killed) should be with my skin touching yours."
Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam then made duaa for him.
(Ibn Is'haaq, as quoted in Al Bidaayah wan Nihaayah vol. 3 page 271), Seerat Ibn Hishaam vol. 1 page 626)

3.) Hasan RadhiAllaahu Anhu narrates that Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam was once carrying the branch of a date palm in his hand when he met a man who had dyed his clothing yellow.
Nudging the man's belly with the branch, Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam said, “Remove that Waras (a yellow herb that grows in Yemen). Did I not forbid you (men) from wearing that?”
Although the jab made a mark on his belly, no blood emerged. The Sahaabi RadhiAllaahu Anhu said, “O Rasulullaah! Retribution will have to be taken."
The other Sahaabah RadhiAllaahu Anhum exclaimed, “You wish to take retribution from Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam?”
He replied, “None has a skin better than mine.”
Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam then exposed his abdomen saying, “You may have your retribution.”
The Sahaabi RadhiAllaahu Anhu then started kissing the belly of Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam saying, “I forsake the retribution on condition that you intercede for me on the Day of Qiyaamah.”
(Musannaf Abdur Razaaq no. 18038)

4.) Aaishah RadhiAllaahu Anha said, “(After the demise of Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam,) Abu Bakr RadhiAllaahu Anhu arrived and I lifted my veil. He looked at Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam and exclaimed, ‘Innaa Lillaahi wa Innaa Ilayhi Raaji’oon! Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam has passed away.’
He went to Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam from the headside, bowed his head and kissed Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam's forehead.
He then said, ‘O dear Nabi!’
Thereafter, he raised his head and again lowered his mouth to kiss Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam's forehead, saying, ‘O my chosen friend!’
For the third time he then raised his head and again lowered his mouth to kiss Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam's forehead, saying, ‘O my bosom friend! Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam has passed away.’”

Rasulullaah SallAllaahu Alayhi Wasallam presented himself to Khuzaimah who kissed him on his forehead.”
